Men’s skin care is big business these days thanks to men’s magazines and adverts on telly but are you doing things right?

For many men just having a wash and a shower is all you need to do to keep yourself looking  good

Well I am sorry unless you make the effort and use the right kind of routine your going to look old before your time here are some tips on looking good.

 

 

Do not worry lads we are not saying go and buy a whole bath room full of cleaners and creams and it won’t take all day to maintain a healthy looking skin. follow these simple steps.

 

WASHING

wash with a mild cleanser not too harsh  like a  face scrub  some men are often in a hurry to even  use soap let alone thinking about what  one to use .

Lets be honest women do not want their man to have hard rough hands when being touched in some jobs it is hard to avoid but if you make an effort things could be a little better.hands

OILY SKIN

Combination skin is most common. Your skin will have both oily and dry areas, with the oily areas being in the center of your face. Cheeks typically look and feel normal or they may be slightly to very dry. combinationThe eye area typically is drier than the rest of your face.

Now with the idea of skin type you are we can tackle the problem a little easier.

First up is OILY SKIN  Anti-shine products (sometimes called ‘mattifiers’) eliminate shine on contact, usually with the help of special oil-absorbing particles and ingredients that tighten pores and temporarily reduce their size.        they produce instant effect, though you often need to reapply. Another good weapon against oily skin is a pack of oil-absorbing sheets – thin tissues that you blot the grease with. Blot your skin throughout the day to absorb excess oil.

Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables, and cut back on fried and processed foods. Load up on kiwi and lemons; both fruits are acne-fighters and help to balance out your skin tone.

You can also try

Applying an egg white mask to your face every week. Put one egg white into a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of honey and mix well with a fork. Add a pinch of flour and stir to make a paste. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture to your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. This mask will soak up excess oil while tightening the skin.

 

DRY SKIN

Use moisturisers and oily creams. Depending on how dry your skin is, it may be best to use a relatively thin moisturising lotion or cream in the summer and switch to a thicker more oily moisturising ointment in the winter.
Moisturising shower gels and bath additives that don’t strip the skin of its natural oils can be used instead of soap when washing your pharmacist can recommend products.

Dry skin is a feature of inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema and dermatitis and, in these cases, the doctor or the dermatologist may choose to treat the condition with a steroid cream that reduces inflammation.

 

For COMBINATION SKIN, It is recommended using foam or cream cleansers.In the morning use a foaming cleanser, at night use a cream cleanser or the same cleanser. Also, use an alcohol-free toner on the oily parts of your face. Make sure your cleanser is oil-free too.

It’s important to moisturize even if you have oily skin. In the morning, use a moisturizer or sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher. At night, use a night cream or moisturizer without a SPF. Make sure your moisturizer is oil-free and light weight.Try exfoliating about 1-2 times a week. Just don’t exfoliate everyday. Especially if you have combination/oily skin.
